Hall of Fame
Sherman, during his time from 1963-67, left his mark in the Adelphi record book in numerous categories. He is 12th on the all-time scoring list with 1,392 points (which do not include his freshman season points) and holds many single season records, some of which include third in scoring (583), second in points per game (22.4), third in free throws (161) and third and fourth in free throw attempts (221 and 216 respectively). Not only does he hold single season records, but some of his career statistics still stand as well. Sherman is fourth in points per game with 18.5 and fourth in field goal attempts with 539. Through his efforts, he was awarded Freshman Athlete of the Year in 1963, All-Metropolitan All Star and two-time Tri-State League All Star honors.
