Hall of Fame
Leonard was a standout outfielder on the Adelphi softball team from 1997-2000.
In her freshman year, she helped the panthers to a then DII school best record of 30-18, winning the East Coast Conference crown as well as the ECAC Championships.
In 1998, she posted a .517 batting average with 34 runs scored, 14 triples and 14 runs batted in with 15 stolen bases in 16 attempts. She was named a second-team All-Northeast Region honoree, second-team ECAC Division II All-Star and a second team All-ECC selection. She was voted the Adelphi Sophomore Athlete of the year and team MVP.
In her senior year, Adelphi earned its first ever NCAA Division II Tournament berth. The Panthers captured the regular season title and finished second in the conference championships. Leonard hit .304 on the season with 26 runs scored and earned first-team All-ECC honors.
Her name is scattered throughout the Adelphi record books including single season batting average (.517), slugging percentage (.805) and triples (14). She is also ranked in the top ten in career hits and triples and well as all-time batting average, runs scored, walks, total bases and stolen bases.
She graduated from Adelphi in 2000 with a BA in physical education and health.
