Not only is Herbert is a member of the Panther 1,000 point club (16th with 1,225 points), he achieved that status in just two seasons. He appears in the Adelphi record books numerous times including first and fourth on the single season scorers list with 619 and 573 points respectively. Herbert is also the single season record holder in field goals with 231.
Additionally, his name appears in the top ten in single season records, twice for three-point field goal percentage (.594 and .590), single season scoring average (20.6), career three-point field goal percentage (.440), second in career field goal percentage (.592), second in career three-point field goal percentage (.466), three-point field goals (92) and three-point field goal attempts (209).
In leading his team to their first ever ECC title, he accumulated first team All-NYCAC, first team All-ECAC and first team All-Region selections, ECC Player of the Year, NABC/Sears first team All-District and an NABC Third Team All-American.
