Adelphi University Athletics

Arvilla Nolan was an instrumental part of the Adelphi community for 40 years. She was the Chair of the Physical Education Department, intiated and developed the majors program, was a University Consultant for student teachers and was also the Chairperson and director of women’s athletics. In addition Nolan was an official United States delegate at the International Conference in Paris as a consultant on hydrogymnastics and was the University coordinator for the Special Olympics of Nassau County.
