Wallace was a four-year starter at catcher and led the team to three NCAA Division I Northeast Regionals and back-to-back appearances in the College World Series in 1984 and 1985. She was named the NCAA Post Graduate Scholar in 1985 and also earned a spot on the All-Northeast Region first team in both 1984 and ’85. Her name appears in the record books on numerous occasions. In the single season categories, she’s third in batting average with .429, tied for fourth in at bats with 171, and is in the top-5 in hits, triples, home runs and RBI’s. On a career level, she was among the career leaders in game played (142), at bats (434), batting average (.434), hits (149) and RBI (85). She returned to Adelphi after graduation and coached at the softball camps from 1985 until 1988.
