Each year, the Adelphi University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics holds a series of special events to celebrate the accomplishments of our student-athletes, commemorate and educate, and give back to the community. Midnight Madness
The Adelphi University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will commence the basketball season with its annual Midnight Madness event each year as a kick-off to basketball season.  Introductions to both the men’s and women’s basketballs teams along with performances from various groups on campus, prizes, giveaways and more.

Legacy Advisors'Â Player of the Week Reception
Award winners are selected by the Department of Athletic Media Relations, the recipient student-athletes  are chosen based on their athletic achievements each week presented by Legacy Advisors.

Black History Month Celebration
The Adelphi University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics' Annual Black History Month Celebration was founded in 2003 by former Director of Athletics Robert E. Hartwell and former Assistant Director of Athletics Suzette McQueen. TD Bank has been involved with the Black History Month Celebration since 2009, emerging as the presenting sponsor in 2013. Student-Athlete Awards Banquet
Each May, the department holds its annual Student-Athlete Banquet to honor the success of the individuals and teams that represent the Panthers throughout the year in competition as well as in the classroom and in the community. For complete information, click here.

3.0 Night
Each winter, the student-athletes that achieved a 3.0 GPA or better in the previous semester are recognized at a basketball game for their performances in the classroom. All 4.0 students are announced at the beginning of their respective sport. As a reward for their academic success, each student is given a token of appreciation from the athletic department.
