Each year, the Adelphi University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics holds a series of special events to celebrate the accomplishments of our student-athletes, commemorate and educate, and give back to the community. Panther Madness (formerly Midnight Madness)
In collaboration with the Center for Student Community Engagement, the Adelphi University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will commence the basketball season with its annual Panther Madness event each year as a kick-off to basketball season.  Introductions to both the men’s and women’s basketball teams along with performances from various groups on campus, prizes, giveaways and more.

Black History Month Celebration
The Adelphi University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics' Annual Black History Month Celebration was founded in 2003 by former Director of Athletics Robert E. Hartwell and former Assistant Director of Athletics Suzette McQueen. TD Bank has been involved with the Black History Month Celebration since 2009, emerging as the presenting sponsor in 2013. End of the Year Awards Ceremony
Each May, the department holds its annual Student-Athlete Banquet to honor the success of the individuals and teams that represent the Panthers throughout the year in competition as well as in the classroom and in the community. For complete information, click here.
