Audrey Erickson, a 1955 graduate of Adelphi University was a standout field hockey player for the Panthers, under the guidance of coach Cynthia Drakeford. Erickson was a member of the 1951 undefeated team and also participated in the United States Hockey Developmental Camp for the 1980 Olympics.
In addition, she was a member of the United States Field Hockey Association (USFHA) for two years and was also a National Official and Honorary Member of the USFHA. Erickson also played women’s basketball at Adelphi and was a professor on the Garden City campus for a number of years.
