Pablo Pick is the 18th Panther athlete elected to the Adelphi Hall of Fame. He entered Adelphi in 1962 and is a member of the class of 1965. Pick was named Outstanding College Athlete of the Year for two seasons, one of only three athletes to ever accomplish this feat. Pick starred in three sports (tennis, squash and soccer) and was a member of championship teams in each of them. Additionally, he is the first tennis player to be named to the Hall of Fame. Pick co-captained the tennis squad to two MET Conference titles and the doubles crown in 1963-64 in addition to the NAIA doubles title. In squash, he was a two-time winner of the Stevens Invitational tournament while being crowned the Metropolitan Squash Champion twice and was named the Brown and Gold’s outstanding racqueteer for 1963-64. He starred on the 1963 soccer team that won the Metropolitan Conference championship and gained a berth in the NCAA Regional Tourney, the school’s first ever NCAA berth in history. Pick was also awarded the Keen-Fijux citation for four years of outstanding contribution to the University.
