McCormack found unparalleled success inside Woodruff Hall, leading the Panthers to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight during the 2000-01 season. He earned NABC First-Team All-America honors that year and was named the Basketball Times Division II Player of the Year and the ECAC Player of the Year. In addition McCormack was a two-time ECC Player of the Year and a two-time NABC All-Regional selection, finishing his career with 1,553 points.
