Riley is one of the greatest offensive players in Adelphi soccer history. Riley scored 121 points (39 goals, 43 assists) in his four-year Panther career. He led the team in scoring three times and was also a three-time All-New York Region selection. His 43 assists is still the career record at Adelphi. In his senior season, Riley collected 47 points leading the Panthers to a Number 24 National Ranking.
Following his career at Adelphi, Riley served as the head soccer coach at C.W. Post from 1986 to 1987 where he was named NYCAC Coach of the Year five times and led his team to the NCAA’s three times. He played professional soccer with the Albany Capitals, New Jersey Eagles, and the Long Island Rough Riders and holds the record for all time leading assists with the Rough Riders.
