Hall of Fame
Bushnell was the third recipient of the Adelphi Hall of Fame honors in the non-athletic category.
One of the most deserving candidates in Adelph’s then brief Hall of Fame history, Bushnell did an outstanding job in the field of intercollegiate athletics.
Since 1938, he served as the Commissioner of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) of 138 member schools and his counseling and guidance through administration of the ECAC program provided invaluable to Adelphi intercollegiate athletics.
His wisdom and administrative ability have long been recognized in all areas of sports, and he made many outstanding contributions to the Olympics, as well as national athletic endeavors. for 30 years and involved with numerous Olympic teams.
