Women's 4x400 Relay Leads Finishes For Track and Field at Penn Relays

Philadelphia, Pa. - The Adelphi University track and field program wrapped up three days of competition at the Penn Relays this past weekend that included six races for the Panthers.

The women's 4x400 meter relay team of Nicole Elarde, Angela Mongitore, Gabriela Saltos, and Mary Camarano posted the highest finish for the Brown and Gold this weekend with third place during Thursday night's relay. The quartet posted a time of 3:59.90, a season-best after a 4:02.51 time at the Bison Outdoor Classic. Saltos, Mongitore, and Elarde joined Seona Maloney for 23rd place in the 4x800 college women race behind a time of 9:29.11.

Ena Otaka, Mary Camarano, Aleisha Jeffers, and Idongesit Ekong teamed to participate in two relays. On Thursday, the group posted a time of 49.44 in the 4x100 meter race for 58th place followed by 40th in the 4x200 meter relay on Friday with a clocking of 1:46.48.

The 4x400 group of Kenneth Coleman, Anthony Seara, Luke Pascale, and Sean Grady kicked off the weekend for the men on Friday, claiming sixth place at a time of 3:24.38. Seara and Grady were joined by Michael Grady and Anthony Coccia on Saturday during the 4x800 college men's race to earn eighth place after finishing at 7:39.37.

The Northeast-10 Conference Outdoor Championships are scheduled for this weekend. The two-day event is hosted by American International College starting on Friday.
