Women's Outdoor Track & Field Lands Third at NE10 Championship

New Haven, Conn. - With six podium finishes and 107 points, the Adelphi University women's track and field program secured a third place finish at the 2026 Northeast 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championship, held on the campus of Southern Connecticut State. 

The Owls women's track & field won, taking home the trophy for the third consecutive season. The Owls scored 269 points, over 100 more than St. Anselm, who finished in second at 139.5. 

Highlights: 
  • Valencia Beaubrun battled in the long jump and went 5.83m on her final attempt to earn silver and eight points for the team. That mark finishes as a personal best for the senior, who also competed in the 200, 4x100 and 4x400.
  • Imani Mudiay capped her career with a silver medal in the triple jump, using an attempt of 11.18m on her first go down the runway. She also competed in the long jump, where she placed seventh with a new personal best of 5.51m.
  • Gabrielle Stafford picked up a pair of podium finishes, placing third in both the high jump (1.50m) and the javelin (40.32m). She also picked up  points for the women's heptathlon, which she placed fourth overall. 
  • Lucia Kutner landed on the podium for the third time her career for the 3000 steeplechase event. After placing eighth as a rookie, Kutner earned bronze in each of the last three outdoor seasons. Her career concluded with a 12:06.77 time as she led two first year teammates.
  • Rounding out the medals for the women's squad, the quartet of Sade Dacis, Caleigh Hopkins, Krystal Patel and Eva Gonzalez took silver in the women's 4x800 with a time of 9:58.06. 
  • Christina Sakellis, Maya Suarez and Karen Jackson took home the 4-5-6 placements in the women's 10K, all earning points for the women's squad. Sakellis led the way in 39:55.71 to pick up five points for her team. 
  • Kayla Esposito made the 100 meter final, placing seventh overall after winning her preliminary heat in a time of 12.48.

Adelphi's finish supports the overall standings and women's cup standings for the NE10 Presidents Cup. Following the conclusion of the indoor season, Adelphi was second in the overall and men's cup while appearing at no. 3 for the women's cup.
