North Attleboro, Mass. - Concluding his freshman season,
Jabari Holder has now added a third major award to his resume, after being named the Northeast 10 Conference Outdoor Field Rookie of the Year, the league announced on Thursday.
Holder, winner of the 2026 Outdoor Triple Jump competition, used a 14.78m attempt to top the field in his first outdoor championship. His 10 points from the triple jump and four points courtesy of his fifth place showing in the long jump, helped the men's squad earn their highest point total at an outdoor NE10 meet, since the Cats joined the league in the 2009-10 season.
Holder's 14.78 leap was second best in the region, earning him USTFCCCA All-Region recognition as well. Additionally, the rookie from upstate was honored on May 4 as the Adelphi Athletics Male Rookie of the Year.
In his acceptance speech, he claimed, "I'm just a freshman - I have so much more to learn and so much more to give. But I promise — this is only the beginning."
