North Attleboro, Mass. - After a season-opening heptathlon, junior Gabrielle Stafford has been selected as the Northeast 10 Field Athlete of the Week, announced on Tuesday. 

Stafford posted the region's best multis score this spring with her effort at The College of New Jersey, while also setting a PR in the specialty. She did best in the javelin, throwing 40.85m for second place and securing an Adelphi program record.

She also took third in the shot put and high jump in Ewing with her jump ranking best in the conference this spring.

Adelphi will return to TCNJ for a two-day meet on Friday, April 24, ahead of the 2026 Northeast 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championship scheduled to start on Friday, May 1.
