Charlottesville, VA - With a travel party of six student-athletes, a small squad from Adelphi Track and Field trekked south to compete at the Virginia Challenge, hosted by the University of Virginia over the weekend.

Amari Johnson clocked in at 14.38 in the 100 hurdles event, placing 20th in a Division I heavy field, and now has the best time in the East Region for Division II.

Adelphi's three 800 mainstays in Isabel Marsh, Katherine Marsh and Carly Koprowski held their own in their respective events; the twins competing in the invite. I. Marsh finished her heat in a time of 2:09.95 which is 1.43 seconds off her personal best from this season while K. Marsh put together a 2:08.97 performance, which stands .02 off her best.

Bryan Combary David Williams both raced in the men's 110 hurdles that resulted in the fourth and fifth best times in the East this season, respectively. Combary's time of 14.72 is .10 seconds better than last week's outing at the Bison Outdoor Classic. Williams placed 13th overall in a time of 14.73, right behind Combary.

In addition to current student-athletes, former All-American Kyria Moore competed "unattached" in the open hammer event. She launched a huge PR at 61.96 meters to place second.

Adelphi track and field will put together its relay teams ahead of next week's historic Penn Relays.
