Staten Island, N.Y. - In preparation for the 2024 Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Championship, slated to start next week, the Adelphi University track and field program sent a group to the Fastrack National Invite on Friday.

Notable finishes on the women's side include a fourth place showing in the long jump invitational for Valencia Beaubrun as teammate Joanna Weber placed sixth in the open section of the same event.

Nikki Searles placed 31st overall in the 60 hurdles in a time of 9.90, and was the second fastest competitor out of the league.

Chris Leonard's overall place of 41st in the mile was good enough for him to rank among the top-10 in the conference heading into the weekend. His time of 4:24.23 is just over three seconds behind his teammate Diego Llanos who ran a 4:21.70 at the last Boston meet to sit sixth in the NE10.

Bishopp Boutin beat out fellow Panther David Williams in the 60 hurdles this weekend, clocking in at 8.64, while Williams posted a time of 8.71, as the pair placed ninth and 13th, respectively. Boutin also competed in the open high jump, clearing 1.80m on his first attempt to place third overall.

Andre Francis was the fourth place finisher in the weight throw with a 16.41m attempt which lands third in the NE10 behind his earlier season launch of 16.90m.

The team will compete at the conference championship next week, which starts Friday, February 16 at the Track at New Balance.
