Boston, Mass. - It was a weekend full of action as the Adelphi University track and field program sent majority of its team to the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Friday and Saturday, hosted at Boston University.

Katherine Marsh successfully lowered her best time in the 800 this weekend and now is the top time in the specialty in all of Division II at 2:09.65. She was the top Division II finisher in a field of nearly all Division I competition and placed fifth in her heat and 22nd overall.

Rookies Marissa Haye and Carly Koprowski impressed in the sprints, with the former putting up a personal best time in the 200 with her first sub-27 second effort, placing second in her heat with a time of 26.80. She ranks 33rd in the East Region and falls just outside of the top-20 in the NE10. Koprowski ran a 2:19.47 in the 800 for a new career-best, placing sixth in her section and 21st among freshman (and the top D2 rookie) to finish 84th overall in a field of over 100 competitors.

On the men's side, Jack Longobucco completed his first sub-53 in the 400 meter, clocking in at 52.91 to place fourth in his heat while the men's distance medley relay was the third best Division II team to compete at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, clocking in at 10:34.38.
