Both Cross Country Programs Take Second at Panther XC Invitational

In the first year hosting the Panther XC Invitational, both the men's and women's teams posted second place finishes behind dual winners AIC.

After top-10 finishes from either side, both took home the runner-up trophies for their respective races behind first place American International.

On the women's side, Nicole Julian was the top-finisher, coming in fifth overall out of a field of 72 competitors. Also placing in the top-10 was Catherine Olsen as the team averaged a time of 20:48.04 to earn second place. Seona Maloney finsihed 12th as Brianna Delzell came in two spots behind her to be the third and fourth to cross for Adelphi. Rounding out the scoring was Megan Grady who completed the 5K event in a time of 21:23.64 for an 18th place finish overall.

Freshman Cecilia Winthrop made her collegiate debut with a time of 21:35.15 which listed her as the only rookie to appear in the top-20.

The Panther men averaged a time of 16:11.77 to earn the runner up trophy for the first-time event, with Michael Grady leading the pack with a time of 15:43.28 to claim third place overall. Coming in just steps behind Grady was Gerard Connelly in a time of 15:50.34, good enough for fourth in the field.
