San Jose, Calif. - Ending the 2016 schedule for the Adelphi University track and field program this past Friday, freshman
Michael Grady earned a 13th place finish during the 1,500 meter race at the 2016 USATF Junior Outdoor Championships.
Heading to the event ranked 17th among 1,500 meter competitors, Grady raced to a time of 3:56.13 that landed him in 13th overall and sixth in his heat. The freshman fell shy of qualifying for the top-12 final race by 1.03 seconds.
In the past 10 years, Grady becomes the seventh individual in the Panther program to qualify for the Junior Outdoor Championships. He becomes the first to compete since
William Marois and
Matthew Moody in 2013.
