Danbury, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2016 Division II Men's Basketball All-ECAC selections and major award winners recently that included
Anthony Libroia of the Adelphi University men's basketball team being selection to the Second Team.
The senior guard led the Panthers this season with averages of 16.5 points and 5.7 assists per-game while also adding 4.2 rebounds per-contest. Libroia also put forth efficient shooting percentages that included 50.0 percent from the beyond the arc and an overall 53.4 percent from the field. Earlier in the year, he became the 34th member of the 1,00th point club in program history and made his way all the way up 16th on the list with 1,350 points. This nod follows his selection to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Second Team.
Desmond Williams from Southern Connecticut State University captured ECAC Player of the Year honors following a stellar year for the Owls, while Chas Harvey of Bluefield State College garnered Rookie of the Year honors. Southern Connecticut Head Coach Scott Burrell was tabbed as the ECAC Division II Men's Basketball Coach of the Year.
