North Attleboro, Mass. – On Wednesday night, the Northeast 10 Conference revealed its bracket for the men's basketball tournament, and Adelphi was slotted in as the No. 5 seed.
Head coach Dave Duke has now taken the Panthers to the postseason in nine out of 10 tries, including nine in a row. The Brown and Gold will be heading up to Worcester, Mass., for a date with No. 4 Assumption on Saturday, Feb. 28, with tip set for 12 p.m.
The Panthers and Greyhounds are 1-1 against each other this season, with Assumption earning a 77-67 win at their place on January 7, and Adelphi winning game two 79-59 on February 4 in Garden City.
Led by seniors Dayshaun Walton, Al-Fatir Connor, Mason Jackson, Jarnel Rancy, and Matthew Price, the Cats are looking to make it to the NE10 semis for the second year in a row and are hopeful for another NCAA bid.
The NE10 Men's Basketball Championship, presented by Visit Central Florida, will conclude with the final on Saturday, March 7. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be broadcast live on SNY and NBC Sports Philadelphia+, as well as on NE10 NOW on FloSports. NESN will broadcast the game on tape delay the night of Monday, March 9, and on NESN+ the morning of Tuesday, March 10. Full broadcast schedule is available on Championship Central.
