Men's Soccer Adds Adriano Gabriele to Coaching Staff

Garden City, N.Y. - Head soccer Coach Carlo Acquista announced the addition of Adriano Gabriele to the coaching staff earlier today. His responsibilities include recruiting, player development and video analysis.

Gabriele brings four years of experience playnig at the NCAA Division I level. A 2013 graduate of Seton Hall University, he picked up one goal from the penalty spot, in six games all of which he started. The North Babylon native contributed three assists in the 2010 campaign in 376 minutes of action and added two goals (both from the penalty spot) in 2011. In his role as a midfielder, Gabriele was named a Big East Academic All-Star in his junior season.

"I am excited for Adriano to join the coaching staff," said Coach Aquista. "I have had the pleasure of watching, competing against and recruiting him as well. He is very competitive, passionate, and driven to succeed as a college coach".

A 2009 graduate of St. John's the Baptist in West Babylon, N.Y., Gabriele returned to his alma mater this past year as the Head Coach of the junior varsity soccer team. Under his direction, the team edned their season in second place, their first appearance in the finals in over ten years. He has also been working with the Long Island Rough Riders youth sector as a trainer and coach.

Gabriele holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from Seton Hall University and has plans of pursuing a master's degree at Adelphi University.
