Garden City, NY - On Monday, September 15, the Adelphi University men's basketball team held a two-hour clinc for the Nassau County PAL Special Needs Unit inside the Center for Recreation and Sport.
During the two-hour clinic, the coaching staff and student-athletes led the group in ball-handling, passing and shooting drills. Members of the PAL Special Needs Unit competed against one-another in a full court game of 5-on-5 and the clinic finished with games of 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 versus current players.
"It was a great experience for our program to work with the Nassau County PAL Special Needs Unit," said Head Coach
David Duke. "It's very important for our team to assist in whatever way possible within the community. They are a group that has a terrific relationship with Adelphi University and we were thrilled to continue the tradition of working with them."
"Working with such a cool group of guys really puts life in perspective," said senior forward
Duane Morgan. "It was an awesome opportunity to make some new friends and give back to the community."
