Mychael Fabio Earns Spot at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in 400m

The senior sprinter currently ranks fifth fastest in all of Division II

Mychael Fabio will compete in the preliminary round of the 400m dash on Thursday, May 24
Garden City, N.Y. – The NCAA has announced the field of 620 participants who earned a spot in the Division II Track and Field Championships that will be held in Pueblo, Colorado on May 24-26. Senior sprinter, Mychael Fabio will be the lone Panther to represent Adelphi University.
 
Fabio enters the meet boasting a personal best of 46.69 in the 400m. The mark is the fifth fastest time in all of Division II. Just 19 runners were accepted into the field out of 45 athletes who hit at least the provisional mark of 48.00.
 
Fabio will compete in the preliminary rounds on Thursday, May 24 at 5:55 pm Mountain Time (7:55 pm Eastern Time). Should he advance, the finals will take place on Saturday, May 26 at 6:25 pm Mountain Time (8:25 pm Eastern Time).

This year's meet marks the fifth time Fabio has competed at the NCAA Championships during his four year tenure.  This past indoor season, he made the finals of the 400m dash and finished in ninth, just one spot out of an All-American honor.
