Garden City, N.Y. - The men's basketball team hosted the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire earlier this evening at the Center for Recreation and Sports in a Northeast-10 Conference contest. In victory, Adelphi remains the top team in the conference with an overall record of 13-4, 10-3 NE-10 while the Penmen move to 10-8, 6-7 NE-10.

For the Penmen, Tory Stapleton provided a game high 17 points while Elijah Bonsignore added nine. Aleksandar Dobrovic chipped in with eight points off the bench with teammate Lucas Croteau adding six.
Adelphi used an early 14-4 run to kick the game off, but SNH slowly chipped away at the lead, eventually knotting it at the 4:17 mark at 24 a piece. Ranglin's two free throws were the only two points the Panthers would score before halftime as SNH put in six to take a four point lead at the conclusion of the first 20 minutes.
There were seven lead changes in the second half with the Penmen leading by as much as seven early on. An 8-0 Panther run sparked by a
Bradley Simpson layup and capped with a Ranglin trey gave the Panthers their first lead of the half. With 6:01 left, a big three ball by Harkins turned a two point deficity into a one point lead.
Aleksandar Dobrovic responded on the next posession with a made layup to retake the lead. However, it would be the final time that SNH would hold the advantage as Simpson made good on a bucket from inside the paint to give his team the final boost they needed to regain the lead and hold it.
In the final five minutes,
Duane Morgan,
John Calarco, Johnson and Harkins all chipped in with baskets of their own to help out-distance themselves from their counterparts as the final buzzer sounded in favor of Adelphi.
