Garden City, N.Y. - Earlier this evening, the men's basketball team hosted the Dolphins of Le Moyne College in a Northeast-10 Conference contest. The Panthers took the lead from the first bucket and led wire to wire on the night with scoring coming from nine different players. A 17 point lead at the half wound up as a 76-61 win at the conclusion of 40 minutes of play in favor of Adelphi. In victory, the Panthers extend their win streak to seven and move their record to 7-1, 6-1 NE-10 while Le Moyne drops to 3-5, 2-5 NE-10.

Chris Ranglin had the hot hands, shooting over fifty percent from the field (7-13) including two buckets from behind the arc with 13 first half points. Cliff Brown and Robert Johnson chipped in with 13 and 12 points respectively with the Panthers shooting just below their usual charity strip shooting percentage, going 16-21 on the night.

Adelphi's shooting was on point in the opening 5:43 as they missed just one shot en route to a 15-5 lead. Over the span, they made two trifectas, sunk three attempts from the field and converted on three of four tries from the foul line. They followed up the run by outscoring Le Moyne 16-4, making the score 31-9 with 6:46 left to play in the opening act.

The 22 point cushion was cut to 15 with 11 seconds to go, but a jumper by Johnson sent his team into halftime with a 42-25 advantage.

The Panthers continued their offensive press, widening the gap to as much as 27 on three occasions. Their defense was also on point, forcing 23 turnovers and collecting 12 steals. A deep bench kept the Panthers out of serious foul trouble as three of their starters were charged with two fouls a piece after the first half while the team had 13.

With 5:54 remaining, the Panthers held a 70-43 advantage. Le Moyne resorted to the three ball with Chris Johnson and James Cormier combining for four made attempts, cut the lead to 15, but it was too little too late as Adelphi collected their seventh straight win by a final score of 76-61.

Adelphi's bench scored 20 points on the night and accounted for seven assists and 11 rebounds while the entire team posted a 52.9 shooting percentage from the field, connecting on 27 of 51 attempts. Johnson came to life in the second half, scoring seven points, five of which came from the free throw line while Bradley Simpson had a difficult task down low against the 6'10"Jim Janson but managed to pull down five boards and register two blocks to go along with his eight points
