Freshman Golf Trio Ranked Third Most Impactful Class in DII by Golfstat

Louis Kelly, Aaron Burton and Fank Amicizia have the seventh lowest combine shooting average out of Division II freshman.

The Panthers capped their fall campaign with a win at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational
Garden City, N.Y. – Three trio of Louis Kelly, Aaron Burton and Frank Amicizia have been ranked as the third most impactful freshman class in all of Division II as posted by GolfStat.com. The Panther newcomers sit behind only Western New Mexico University and St. Edward's University's freshman class.
 
The three have a combine average of 75.24, which ranks sixth on the list. Kelly is currently averaging 73.60 and is ranked sixth by GolfStat while Burton averaged 75.11 and is ranked 39th while Amicizia boasts an average of 77.00 with a rank of 47th.
 
In just two short months, Kelly has already bolstered his collegiate resume which includes a handful of awards and titles. He was named the Northeast-10 Golfer of the week on two occasions, captured the individual crown at the NE-10 Championships with a three-day total of 145 which included a two under par (70) first day score. He was named to the NE-10 First Team All-Conference and earned Rookie and Golfer of the Year honors.
 
Burton and Amicizia have also been credited with the success of the Panther program this year, consistently finishing as the top golfers for Adelphi. Burton finished tied for 16th at the Dowling September Shootout and then tied for second place at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational. Amicizia tied for fourth at the Philadelphia Fall Golf Classic and then finished one shot behind Burton at Goldey-Beacom for third.
