North Attleboro, Mass. - Adelphi's Zeus Sara and Nikola Truhlarova were each named Northeast 10 Players of the Week for men's and women's golf, respectively, as announced by the conference Wednesday afternoon.

For Sara, it was an incredible four-day span featuring two individual championships. He first earned a share of the title at the George Cangero Invitational last weekend before claiming sole possession of first place and leading the Panthers to a team victory at the Charger Challenge on Tuesday afternoon.

Last year's NE10 Rookie of the Year only got one round of play in at the George Cangero Invitational due to weather, but it was all he needed to reach the top of the leaderboard. Sara fired a -1 (71) to finish in a three-way tie for first place and earn a share of the championship. His round featured four birdies.

At the Charger Challenge, hosted by Dominican University, the Philippines native stood alone atop the leaderboard to claim his second individual championship in a matter of days. After firing a -1 (71) to lead all participants in the opening round, he took a two-stroke advantage into day two. Sara then shot a +1 (73) during his second trip through Spook Rock Golf Course to keep himself in contention.

In his final 18 holes, the sophomore was superb, carding a -2 (70) with five birdies and 11 pars to secure his second title in four days. In total, Sara accumulated 12 birdies for the tournament and edged fellow Panther Domenick Caponi by two strokes for the victory.

Truhlarova led the Panthers to a team victory this past Tuesday while finishing as the individual runner-up at the Millersville Women's Fall Classic. The sophomore bounced back impressively over her two rounds at Berkleigh Golf Club.

After starting the tournament with a double bogey and finishing the opening round at +8 (80), the Prague native took her game to another level. During her second trip through the course, Truhlarova carded a +1 (73), setting a new career best for a single round. She mixed in four birdies to secure her second consecutive runner-up finish.

Truhlarova and the Panthers return to action on Wednesday (Sept. 23) for the Thomas Jefferson University Fall Invitational. Sara and the men's golf team return to the course on Monday (Sept. 28) for the Sunnehanna Intercollegiate.
