Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University women's golf program has announced its fifth annual fundraiser outing will take place on Saturday, October 24 at The Golf Club at Middle Bay.

The annual event will bring together the Adelphi women's golf program, alumni, families, friends and supporters for a day on the course, with all proceeds going directly toward supporting the women's team.

Tee times will begin at 12:00 p.m., with each group getting the opportunity to play alongside a current member of the Adelphi women's golf team in a scramble format.

"Come join the team for a fun day on the course," Head Coach Bill Bresnan said. "Each group plays with a team member in a scramble format. It's a great networking and competitive event."

Registration for the fundraiser is $180 per player and includes a golf cart, lunch and prizes. The event will also feature several competitions throughout the day, including closest to the pin, longest drive and "Beat the Panther."

For the Panthers, the event provides an opportunity to connect with the people who have continued to support the program while raising funds for its future.

"I love our golf community here at Adelphi," Ivory Drusch said. "This fundraiser is such a special event for us as a team to see our alumni, families and supporters who have always directly helped our program grow and thrive. We're looking forward to another great day on the course and are excited to make this our best fundraiser yet!"
