Bresnan Announces Signing for 2026-27 Season

Garden City, N.Y. – Head coach Bill Bresnan announced the first signee of the 2026-27 class on Monday, welcoming Abigail Garcia to the Adelphi University women's golf program.

This marks Bresnan's fourth signing class as he approaches his fifth season at the helm in Garden City. The Panthers will look to build on a record-breaking season that featured a Northeast 10 Championship last fall and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance.

She starred as a senior captain at Saint Joseph Hill Academy, helping lead her team to multiple CHSAA City Crown Championships while dominating in individual match play. Abigail finished as one of Staten Island’s top performers, placing second overall at the NYS Catholic Girls’ Golf Championship. She also frequently competes on the Metropolitan PGA Junior Circuit and in AJGA events.”

Bresnan and the Panthers will open the 2026-27 season at the three-day Vulcan Invitational in Belle Vernon, Pa., beginning on Sept. 2 and concluding on Sept. 4.
