Garden City, N.Y. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced its 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars and 2025-26 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award recipients this week.
Adelphi's Mitchell Archer and Johnny Solari were among more than 200 student-athletes named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars.
As a team, the Panthers were one of 331 schools across six divisions to earn a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award. Adelphi was also one of 39 NCAA Division II programs to post a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
Adelphi was one of 75 institutions represented among this year's Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars honorees. To be eligible for a Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III or NAIA, or be receiving an associate's degree and in their final year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, nominees must have participated in at least 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, maintained a stroke average below 78.0 in NCAA Division II and carried a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2.
Both Archer and Solari earned Northeast 10 First Team All-Conference honors and were named to the PING Division II East All-Region Team, helping the Panthers secure the No. 1 seed in the East Region for this year's NCAA Super Regional.
Archer, in his second campaign wearing the Brown and Gold, captured the individual title at the Penmen Season Finale after carding a nine-under over 36 holes. He also recorded four top-five finishes during the season.
Solari wrapped up his final season as a Panther with two individual victories, including a seven-under performance at the Granite State Opener, marking a career best. The senior followed that with a five-under performance at the Saint Anselm Florida Invitational during the spring for his second victory of the year. He also added three top-five finishes during his final season.
Archer and the Panthers will open the 2026-27 season on Sunday, Sep. 7, at the Red Bandanna Invitational, hosted by Boston College. The two-day tournament will take place at Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y. Solari will also be in attendance, joining head coach David Mattana's staff as an assistant coach this season.
