Kansas City, Mo. — On Monday morning, it was announced by National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that Dayshaun Walton is a member of the All-East District First Team.
The honor is Walton's third of the season as he was also named to NE10 All-Conference First Team and D2CCA East Region Second Team.
Adelphi men's basketball had a historic 2024-25 season, finishing with a record of 26-8 (17-2 NE10), earning the program's first regular season conference title since 2011 and making the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2012.
Walton was a key piece to the success, being Adelphi's leading assist man and rebounder, averaging three assists per game and five boards. The junior was the second leading scorer for the Panthers, scoring 13.7 points a game. Walton was exceptional from the free throw line, shooting 89.2% from the charity stripe. That number was good for second in the NE10 and is the fourth best percentage from Panther player in a single season.
