Indianapolis, Ind. — The Adelphi men's basketball team's incredible 2024-25 season will continue as it was announced on Sunday night that they will be the No. 2 seed in the East Region of the NCAA Tournament.
Head coach Dave Duke, the Northeast-10 coach of the year, Jarnel Rancy, the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year, and the Panthers currently hold a 26-7 record, the best mark so far in Duke's tenure. Adelphi will be taking on No. 7 seed Dominican (NY) in the first round on Saturday, March 15 at 2:30 p.m.
No. 1 Daemen, who also holds the country's No. 1 national ranking, will host the East Regional at its campus in Amherst N.Y.
The rest of the region includes NE10 conference tournament champion Southern New Hampshire, NE10 tournament runner-up Pace, CACC tournament champion Bridgeport, ECC tournament runner-up St. Thomas Aquinas and No. 6 seed Assumption, who finished in a tie for second in the NE10 regular season.
Dates for the East Regional are March 15, 16, and 18 at Daemen's Charles L. & Gloria B. Lumsden Gymnasium. The NCAA Division II tournament consists of 64 teams at eight regional sites. The NCAA Elite Eight and Final Four will be held at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind. from March 25-29.
