North Attleboro, Mass. - Adelphi University's women's basketball freshman Guanna Chuffo was named the Northeast 10 Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday. 

Chuffo averaged 10.0 points in a 2-0 week for Adelphi on 50 percent shooting (7-for-14), including 6-for-12 from long distance. She scored 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting in a win over Franklin Pierce, while adding eight points in a victory over American International.  

The Panthers will host the College of Staten Island on Wednesday December 10, marking the team's third ever meeting. Heading into the non-conference bout, the series is tied at 1-1.
