North Attleboro, Mass. - Adelphi University's Women's basketball player Lauren Beberman was named the Northeast 10 Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.
Beberman played a key role in the Panthers undefeated week, wreaking havoc on opponent offenses. She averaged 6.0 steals, 3.5 blocks, and 8.5 rebounds per game in a pair of wins over Staten Island and Pace. To boot, she added an additional six points per game on the other side of the ball and shot 50 percent from the free throw line. Against the Setters, the junior managed to set a career high seven steals while averaging over 30 minutes on the floor.
Helping Beberman grab the player of the week was Victoria Morales, Madison Williams and Me'Challe Cancer. Morales scored 30 points, 5 assists, 10 rebounds while shooting 50 percent behind the arch. Williams who scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and Cancer with 10 points, 6 assists and 17 rebounds in the two contests.
The Panthers will take on Molloy University on Wednesday, Dec. 17 where they look to continue their win streak.
