Trio of Panthers Named to NFHCA All-Region Teams

12/3/2025 2:00:00 PM

Colorado Springs, Co. – Adelphi University's Lana Mignon De Wet, Katie Dettore, and Kelly Johnson were all honored on the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II All-Region teams, announced Wednesday morning.

De Wet was named to the 2025 NFHCA All-Region First Team after cementing herself as one of the top scorers and point producers in the country. Following her 23-goal, 51-point season, the Northeast 10 Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference selection came just shy of breaking Adelphi's single-season program records in both categories.

Johnson joined De Wet on the All-Region First Team after enjoying a standout senior campaign. Recently named to the 2025 NFHCA Senior Team, she totaled 20 points on nine goals and two assists, while also earning First Team All-Conference honors.

Dettore, also a member of the 2025 NFHCA Senior Team, was selected to the NFHCA All-Region Second Team. A reliable two-way presence for the Brown and Gold, she contributed 10 points (four goals and two assists) and played a pivotal role defensively. She was also named Second Team All-Conference by the NE10.

The Panthers enjoyed a successful season under Head Coach Jess Mulhern, reaching the NE10 Semifinals and narrowly missing a berth in the conference final after a heartbreaking double-overtime loss to Saint Anselm. Adelphi recorded 10 conference wins—their most since 2021—as several of the team's top contributors earned well-deserved postseason recognition.

The All-Region announcements are the first in a series of NFHCA awards set to roll out over the coming weeks. On Dec. 11, the NFHCA will unveil the Regional Players of the Year, followed by the All-American teams on Dec. 16, and finally the National Player of the Year on Dec. 18. De Wet, Dettore, and Johnson will all be eligible for those upcoming honors.
