Garden City, N.Y. – Adelphi University field hockey's Lana Mignon De Wet and Kelly Johnson were each named to the Synapse Sports All-American teams, while Jena Geels earned All-Rookie Team honors, released earlier this week.

Synapse Sports announced its All-America first and second teams, along with an All-Rookie team consisting of 48 student-athletes, in addition to four Division II postseason awards. The full list of honorees can be viewed here.

De Wet was also named a NFHCA First Team All-American earlier this week and received the same distinction from Synapse Sports as a First Team All-America selection. The junior tallied 23 goals and 51 points on the season, while notching four game-winning goals for the Panthers in 2025. Her outstanding campaign was capped by earning both Conference and Regional Player of the Year honors.

Johnson joined De Wet on the Synapse Sports All-American teams as a Second Team selection. The senior was recently named to the NFHCA All-Region and Senior teams and also earned First Team All-Conference honors in the Northeast 10 alongside De Wet. The native of South Africa recorded nine goals, two assists, and 20 points on the season, highlighted by a team-high five game-winning goals.

Geels rounded out Adelphi's award winners with a selection to the Synapse Sports All-Rookie Team. The freshman totaled six goals, 10 assists, and 22 points in her first collegiate season. Geels was also named to the NE10 Second Team and the All-Rookie Team, capping off an impressive debut season wearing the Brown and Gold.

Under the direction of head coach Jess Mulhern, the Panthers reached the NE10 semifinal this season, falling in double-overtime to eventual champion Saint Anselm College. Adelphi finished the year with 12 total wins—the program's most since 2022—and 10 conference victories, the most since 2021.
