Colorado Springs, Colo. – Adelphi University field hockey's Lana Mignon De Wet has been named a First Team All-American by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) for Division II, as announced Tuesday morning.
The NFHCA recognized 32 Division II student-athletes for their exceptional performances during the fall season. First and second team All-Americans were selected by NFHCA member coaches. The full list of honorees can be found here.
De Wet was recently named the NFHCA Regional Player of the Year on Dec. 11, following her selection to the NFHCA Division II All-Region Team and being tabbed the Northeast 10 Player of the Year.
The junior enjoyed a remarkable season, scoring 23 goals and totaling 51 points in just 18 games. Serving as a captain for the Brown and Gold, she helped lead Adelphi to a semifinal appearance in the Northeast 10 Championship.
A native of South Africa, De Wet established herself as one of the premier goal scorers and point producers in the nation with a season for the record books. She finished tied for first in Division II in goals and ranked second nationally in points, while also leading the country in goals per game (1.28), solidifying her status as one of the most dangerous offensive threats in collegiate field hockey.
The NFHCA will announce its most prestigious individual honor, the 2025 Division II National Player of the Year, on Dec. 18. De Wet will be among the finalists eligible for the award.
