NE10 Releases Indoor Track and Field Preseason Polls

12/3/2025 12:00:00 PM

North Attleboro, Mass. - Ahead of the 2025-26 indoor track and field season, the Northeast 10 Conference office has released its preseason coaches polls on Wednesday, revealing the Adelphi men projected to finish third and the women, fourth.

The Panther men were one point shy of landing in the runner-up position, collecting 22 points while Franklin Pierce recorded 23 and one first place vote. The women talled 25 points to sit behind no. 1 Southern Connecticut, no. 2 Southern New Hampshire and no. 2 Saint Anselm. For a list of the full poll, see bleow or visit the northeast10.org.

The Owls are projected to repeat as champions on both the men's and women's realms, securing all but one first place vote on either side.

Adelphi lost medalists Amari Johnson, Andre Francis as well as key components to the relay squads due to graduation. However, the squad returns 2024-25 NE10 indoor champions in Valencia Beaubrun (long jump), David Williams (60 hurdles), and podium finisher Shareve Blair (60 dash).

Williams was named the 2024-25 NE10 Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year - the first to ever earn the honor - following his standout performance at last year's championship meet.

The women's second place 4x400 relay lost Fiona Maloney but will see Joanna Weber, Marissa Haye and Beaubrun all competing once again this season. Bronze medalists in the women's distance medley relay Eva Gonzalez, Maya Suarez and Weber will bounce back as well despite the loss of Sumaira Mayan

On the men's side, the bronze-medal winning 4x800 has Deven Bernardin and Jack Riegger back in action.

The Brown and Gold's first test comes on Friday, December 5 when they open the season at the Fastrack National Invite, hosted at the Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.. The team will compete all season with the hope of returning to the podium or making a splash at the 2025-26 NE10 Indoor Track and Field Championship, scheduled to start Thursday, February 19.
