Fastrack National Invite Features NCAA Provisional Marks & School Record

Staten Island, N.Y.  - Senior David Williams picked up where he left off, opening the 2025-26 indoor track and field season with an NCAA provisional mark and new school record, as the program opened at the Fastrack National Invite on Friday. 

Men's Highlights: 
  • Williams's time of 7.99 in the finals rae of the men's 60 hurdles is his first time ever posting a sub 8.00 time and stands as a new school record. It also came in well under the NCAA qualifying standard of 8.14 in just opening weekend of indoor action for Division II.  
  • Newcomer Evan Weber made the final of the 60 meter dash and placed fourth overall with a time of 6.92 - for his first collegiate clocking in a Panther uniform. 
  • Continuing to find success from the cross country season, rookie Maxwell Krapf won his heat of the 3K in a time of 8:55.81 which was the 11th best when all sections were compiled. He was the top Division II competitor and bested teammate Jake Orfano by five seconds. 
  • Sergio Talamo put up a new personal best height in the pole vault to kick off his final indoor season, clearing 3.95 meters on his second attempt to place seventh in the field. 
  • In the throws arena, Ryna Moritz made the finals in shotput and finished with a new personal best mark of 14.59m to place fourth overall. 
Women's Highlights: 
  • Valencia Beaubrun was the other Panther to reach an NCAA qualifying mark on opening weekend, with her victory in the long jump. Her 5.75m jump was .03m better than the standard (5.72). Additionally, she had a team-best time in the 200 race, where she clocked in at 25.93 which also marks her first sub-26 second finish. 
  • Shareve Blair made the final of the 60 meter dash invitational and placed sixth in a time of 7.92, which is just .08 from her personal best - which she recorded at this same meet a calendar year ago. 
  • Kayla Esposito topped her section and ultimately the field in the open 60 meter event, clocking in at 8.05, beating her previous career mark by .47 seconds. 
  • Gabrielle Stafford was responsible for a college PR in the high jump, landing 1.50m on her first attempt, ultimately finishing fourth. Additionally, she ran the third leg of the 4x400 with the B Relay squad, clocking in at 1:07.58. 
Adelphi will head to the reigning Northeast 10 Conference Champion, Southern Connecticut State for a two-day meet starting on Friday, Dec. 12.
