Lehigh, PA - In just his second collegiate outing, first year
Max Krapf was the top Adelphi finisher in the men's college green race at the 51st annual Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University.
Krapf topped the 8K for the Brown and Gold in a time of 26:15.0 to place 10th overall, in a field of over 300 competitors. The men saw four harriers inside the top-50 as Chris Leonard was the next to cross - for 45th overall -, followed by
Deven Bernardin and
Noah Mach who placed 49th and 50th, respectively.
The top-five for Adelphi, capped by Mosiah Calderdon, raced to a seventh place finish as a team - which puts them as one of three inside the top-10.
On the women's side, fellow freshman
Christina Sakellis was the top finisher for the Panthers, clocking in at 24:28.3 to place 48th overall in the field.
Lucia Kutner and
Caleigh Hopkins were close behind the rookie, at 60th and 62nd to earn points towards the Panther's 13th place finish in a field of 34 teams. Newcomers
Isabella Baloun and
Natalie Niselson rounded out the top five in their first college 6K races.
Adelphi will host its on campus 5K as part of the institution's Spirit Weekend on Sunday, October 5. Proceeds from this year's event will benefit the athletics department and its over 400 student-athletes. For more information,
