Ewing, NJ - With less than a week to go until the 2024 Northeast-10 Outdoor Championship, the Adelphi University track and field team competed at the Lions Invite over the weekend, hosted by the College of New Jersey.
Lucia Kutner put herself in the top-five for the team this season in the 1500, nearly breaking five minutes to finish in
5:00.31, which was good enough for 14th in the field.
Imani Mudiay inched closer to teammate Lindsey WIlson in the triple jump for the pair's first season in an Adelphi uniform - her leap of
10.46m was good enough for seventh, while
Leah Comeroski finished eighth in the long jump.
For the men, the 4x400 relay squad of
Dylan Norrby,
Chris Leonard,
Nicholas Nanan,
Chris Bien-Aime clocked in at 3:36.83 to take fourth and
Andre Francis also posted a top-10 performance, taking ninth in the hammer with a mark of 47.43 meters.
Teammate
Nicholas Paul moved into second for a season-best toss of
35.45m in the hammer as the top-Division II freshman in the field.
