Indoor Track and Field Cleans Up in All-Region Awards

New Orleans, La.- This past Tuesday, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the 2024 Indoor Track and Field All-Region honorees.

The Adelphi University men's and women's track and field teams were well represented in the East Region with 26 combined team selections. 

The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams.

The women's team was led by the NCAA Division II national qualifier and Northeast-10 champion distance medley relay team of Isabel Marsh, Carly Koprowski, Sumaira Mayan and Katherine Marsh - who secured the top time in the East Region at 11:37.96.

The 4x400m relay quartet of Marrisa Haye, Amari Johnson, Fiona Maloney and I. Marsh was also recognized. 

Individually, nine women received the All-Region nod. 

Amari Johnson led the East Region in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.69. Also leading the region was Katherine Marsh in the 800m with a time of 2:08.72. 

In addition to Katherine, I. Marsh and Koprowski also received All-Region honors in the 800m distance, sweeping the podium at the NE10 Indoor Championship. 

The Marsh twins were also named All-Region in the mile. K. Marsh rounded out the track event All-Region honoree's in the 3,000m with a time of 10:26.32.

Rookie Lindsey Wilson was the lone field All-Region selection, taking home the honor in the high jump. Wilson was also named the NE10 Female Rookie of the Year at the conclusion of the indoor season.  

On the men's side, distance medley relay foursome of Nicholas Nanan, John Perez, Christian Bien-Aime and Diego Llanos was the lone relay selection, running a time of 10:34.38. 

Five men earned individual All-Region selections over two field events and one track event.

The 60-meter hurdle duo of David Williams and Bryan Combary attained All-Region selections, with Williams snagging a silver medal at the NE10 Championship. 

Earning a silver and bronze medal performance at the conference meet in the heptathlon respectively, Bishopp Boutin and Matthew Wenz picked up their first All-Region honors. 

Rounding out the squad, Andre Francis earned recognition for the weight throw, with a heave of 16.90m. 

The Panthers start the outdoor season on Mar. 22 at the Fred Hardy Invitational hosted by the University of Richmond.
