Garden City, N.Y. - Former Adelphi track and field stars
Kyria Moore and Andre Francis have announced the dates for its
2026 Adelphi Elite Throws Camp, a two-week summer training opportunity designed to help throwers of all experience levels elevate their performance ahead of the upcoming season.
The Adelphi Elite Throws Camp provides individualized instruction focused on technical development in the throwing events. Through event-specific coaching, athletes will receive personalized technique correction using targeted drills, video analysis and one-on-one feedback to reinforce proper movement patterns and maximize efficiency in the throwing circle.
In addition to technical instruction, campers will develop the strength and explosiveness necessary for success through fundamental and advanced weight room training. The curriculum also includes mobility exercises, injury prevention strategies, competition preparation and training concepts utilized by successful high school and collegiate throwers.
Whether athletes are looking to refine their mechanics, increase throwing distance or prepare for the upcoming competitive season, the Adelphi Elite Throws Camp offers a comprehensive training environment with individualized coaching and proven development strategies.
Moore currently serves as an assistant coach for the Panthers, following one year competing for the Brown and Gold. She was a three-time Northeast 10 Conference Champion (Indoor WT, Outdoor Hammer and Shotput) and was named the NE10 Most Outstanding Field Performer in 2023. In the indoor season, she earned an individual berth to the NCAA Championship, where she placed second overall in the weight throw to earn USTFCCCA All-American status.
Francis was named the 2024-25 Most Valuable Player for the program as a two-time gold medalist, after topping the field in the weight throw from the indoor season, he catapulted to the top of the podium in the outdoor season in the hammer throw. His launch of 53.33m at the TCNJ Lions Invitational was fourth in the region and was a career best. He tossed an attempt 53.07m at the NE10 meet to earn first overall. . He earned USTFCCCA All-Region accolades for his efforts.
