Boston, Mass. - A total of 12 events earned a spot on the podium this weekend as the Adelphi University women's track and field program competed to its best program finish at the 2024 Northeast-10 Indoor Championship with the runner-up trophy.

Katherine Marsh, who collected two individual gold medals and had a helping hand in all three relay golds, was not only named the Most Outstanding Track Performer, but also took home the Most Valuable Athlete plaque, which was presented during the trophy ceremony on Saturday.

Also earning individual recognition was first-year Lindsey Wilson, who earned a share of the Most Outstanding Field Performer, alongside Laila Bunnitt from Southern New Hampshire. Wilson won the high jump and placed second in the triple jump for her first NE10 championship outing.

The Marsh twins were responsible for the one-two punch in both the mile and the 800 as the Panthers swept the latter as first year Carly Koprowski placed third. Isabel Marsh set a new NE10 record in the 800 prelims, clocking in at 2:10.80 to top her sister before advancing to the finals.

Adding to the slew of firsts, the women's program took first in all relay races, and hold on to a qualifying time for the DMR of 11:37.96 - courtesy of the Marsh/Sumaira Mayan/Koprowski quartet - which is just under a minute faster than what they ran at the conference meet.

In the women's 4x400, Valencia Beaubrun and Fiona Maloney teamed up with Koprowski and K. Marsh to win the program's fourth gold in the specialty, since joining the league in the 2009-10 season. They clocked in at 3:57.48, nearly six seconds faster than the team out of New Haven.

In the field events, Beaubrun landed a third place showing in the long jump besting her finish of 14th from a year ago with a leap of 5.55 meters.

Amari Johnson and Nikki Searles both made the finals for the women's 60 hurdles, but Johnson came away with gold, crossing the finish line convincingly in 8.70 seconds. The North Carolina native previously placed second in the event, during the 2022 indoor championship. Currently her season best time of 8.69 ranks 21st among NCAA Division II competition.

The track program will send a squad to the Fastrack Last Chance Meet at the Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island on Friday, Feb. 23.
