Staten Island, N.Y. - Kyria Moore threw the farthest distance in Division II in the weight throw this season, with a launch of 20.81m at the Ocean Breeze Complex on Friday to place third overall. 

After her first launch was a foul, she cleared 20 meters on her second and third attempts, with the third landing at 20.81m for a new career record, a new lifetime best, and the top mark in all of the Division this indoor season. 

Amari Johnson, who missed out on the Northeast-10 Indoor Championship placed second in the preliminaries in the hurdles for her heat, and putting up a time of 8.78 in the finals to place third in the field. Her best time of the season was at the Boston John Thomas Terrier Classic, which still sees her ranking 31st in Division II. 

Members of the team will have one more chance to qualify (or better their times from the season) for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championship scheduled for March 10-11 as they are scheduled for a last chance meet hosted by the Greater Boston Track Club on Sunday, Feb. 26.
