Holt, Marsh and Relays Take Home NE10 Weekly Awards Ahead of Championships

Mansfield, Mass. - Ahead of the 2023 Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, several members of the Adelphi squad have earned weekly honors. 

Christopher Holt impressed in the 200, to earn men's Track Athlete of the Week, as the 4x400 relay took home relay of the week honors. 

Holt ran the fastest time in the men's 200 throughout the East Region at 21.50, earning an NCAA Division II provisional mark at the David Hemery Valentine Invite at Boston University. His time ranks him 14th among D2 competition. 

The Adelphi men's 4x400 ran a time of 3:21.42 for the fastest time in the NE10 this weekend and third best overall this season. The quartet of Bryce Ridley, Chuck Nwankwo, John Perez and Giovanni Senat is four seconds from a provisional mark and ranks third in the East Region as well.

On the women's side, Katherine Marsh was tabbed Track Athlete of the Week for her 800 performance and contributed to the women's DMR earning relay of the week honors. 

Marsh ran the third fastest time in NCAA Division II this weekend in the 800m event, clocking in at 2:08.57 to win her heat over the weekend in Boston. Her time also sets a new Adelphi program record, beating her own record by three seconds. Marsh was also the anchor leg of the women's DMR that set an Adelphi record. The women's distance medley relay of Grace Minikel, Gabrielle Griffin, Isabel Marsh and K. Marsh ran the second best time in the East Region this weekend, at 11:54.74 to also set a new Adelphi program record in the specialty.

The NE10 Track and Field Championships will kick off on Thursday, Feb. 16 at The Track at New Balance.
