New York, N.Y. - With an NCAA provisional mark already on the resume,
Kyria Moore returned to action when she competed this weekend at the Dr. Sander Invitational Columbia Challenge, hosted at the Armory.
Moore was the lone member of the Panther squad to attend the meet, focusing on the weight throw. After her first launch landing outside the lane, Moore went on to toss distances of 16.08 and 16.39m, earning her 14th overall in the field.
Her best toss this season happened at the Jan. 13 Spartan Regional Preview where she threw a distance of 19.19m - with the NCAA standard at 17.00m for the women's weight throw. Currently, she ranks seventh in Division II. Leading the pack is Judith Essemiah, who tops the field at 20.26m, hailing from Grand Valley State.
