Khalil Chester tallied first place finishes over the weekend as Adelphi University track and field competed at the Wilton Wright Invitational at Southern Connecticut State.
Griffin raced to a first place finish at the Wilton Wright Invitational on Saturday, besting the field in a time of 1:04.97 in the 400 hurdles event. That time currently stands as the second fastest in the NE10 and the quickest from this weekend's action.
Chester's 6.90 meter leap in the long jump event topped the field of 32 competitors for a new career-best distance for the sophomore. Chester, alongside Chuck Nwankwo,
Bryan Combary, and
Tyler Shepherd helped the 4x100 relay take third on Saturday, in a time of 44.45 seconds.
